Week of May 26-29th

I am so sorry the Environmental Camp Picture Post did not go through until this morning! We must have had a lack of service in Croydon! I hope you still enjoy them today- as well as this group picture!

Important Dates:

June 2nd - Middle School Step-up Day. Students will need to arrive at the Middle School the way they plan on for the upcoming school year. Mrs. Grimes will be handing out bus passes so that students know what time the bus will get to their homes. This is an exciting day for 5th graders!
June 5th- Simonds School Step-up Day. 5th graders will have a guidance lesson with Mrs. Cermak during this time.
June 9th- Half Day Field Day with base groups and a hill climb. The Simonds School Student Council has asked for this afternoon, because of the cancellation of Winter Carnival!
June 12th- Health and Safety Fair. This is an all day activity!
June 18th- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

This Crazy Week:

It seems regular weeks are no longer in the books for us! In our attempt at normalcy this is what we hope to cover in each subject!

Science: We continue to explore pond life, with the end goal of creating a ThingLink.

Social Studies: We are delving deeper into the civil war, with a mini project.

Math: We are wrapping up 5th grade and heading into preparations for 6th!

Reading: We continue to work on finding important information in what we read, as well as, defining unknown words by using text clues.
